Hot-finished structural hollow section in square and rectangular shapes are available in our warehouse. The products fall under the same standard as thick-walled structural hollow sections (EN 10210-1). The steel grade is S355J2H (H stands for structural section = Hollow section). The yield strength is at least 355 N/mm2 up to a wall thickness of 16 mm and slightly lower in thicker-walled profiles. Hot-finished structural hollow sections have a controlled silicon content (opt 1.4) and are therefore suitable for hot-dip galvanizing. Dimensional and shape tolerances of hot-finished structural hollow sections are determined in accordance with the EN 10210-2 standard. Hot-finished structural hollow sections are used in steel construction in columns, lattice structures and especially in structures where the structure is exposed to torque.
